It rained. And then it rained some more. And then it was hot and humid. I didn’t get much gardening done other than a bit of weeding and cutting back daylily scapes. Hurricane Lee is passing well east of us as I write, cooler air coming, and hopefully I can get out and do some fall transplanting. On the bright side, at least I didn’t have to haul hoses and sprinklers around.

Brugmansia is impressive. There are four cultivars here, yellow (‘Charles Grimaldi’), orange and two white (single and double). They are growing like weeds now, so their fresh growth will be extra vulnerable to frost if it happens this winter. I am impressed to see them growing in other climates that experience more frost than here.
Thanks Tony. I have take it into the basement in the winter and let it go dormant. It would never survive our winter
Beautiful as always! I have one little chipmunk who lives in my back steps. NO grey squirrels for many many weeks.
