Mid May

This is the second post for May. The garden became fuller, the lawn greener and the wildlife more plentiful.

Hostas, forget me nots, and phlox

Lilacs
Columbines
Peony “Early Scout’
Hosta “Orange Marmelade”
Baby cardinals
Bobcat
Tree Peony
Geum “Prairie Smoke”
Baptisia
Tufa trough with alpine plants
Iris “Eleanor Roosevelt” and Camassia,
Baby cardinals getting bigger
Heucheras and Tiarella

  1. Goodness, I miss lilac. I got copies of the original, but it will be a few years before it provides more than a few blooms. Contrary to popular belief, it does not need much chill, and performs in even milder climates.
